Knowing what to do isn't enough

November 18, 2019

Sometimes I think about the old times when I was overeating, overweight and desperate to change.

I ask myself: "What made me try so many different diets?"

"What made me go to a nutrition course?"

"What made me take lots of supplements?"
"What made me work with so many different professionals?"

The answer can be long or can be super simple.

Ok, the simple answer is: Because the brain always think it needs more information.

Let me explain.

Looking into the big picture, the only reason I tried so many different things to try to lose weight and stop emotional eating was because I believed that someone else or something else knew something I didn't know.

So, my brain was always searching for that information that I thought I didn't have, that would change everything for me.

But it never happened.

I went to Nutrition course, I graduated as Nutritional Therapist.

I had the information, the knowledge, but not the resolution to my problem.

I tried one diet and it didn't work, so I went and found another one.

I worked with a Personal trainer, but my friend was working with another one and I could see the results their clients were having, I would switch PTs.

I had so much information in my brain, I knew what to do.

While I was searching for more information, I wasn't doing anything to actually get what I wanted.

Therefore, knowing what to do wasn't enough.

But why?

Because knowing something does not mean action.

It only means knowledge.

Doctors know that smoking is bad for their health, but how many doctors are still smoking?

We know what to do. We know what to eat to lose weight.

We know we that exercise helps improve our health.

We know that emotional eating is not serving us.

But knowing isn't enough anymore.

Don't let your brain tells you that you need to know more, you need more information, you need to be more knowledgable to actually take care of your mental and physical health.

You have everything you need now to start changing your life right now.

And if you're reading this, you have an incredible resource to help you move forward. ME!

Being confused is not an option. Take action now.

Knowing what to do isn't enough, but actually doing something is enough.

You are enough. You have enough right now.

Message me if you're ready to take action.
