I don't have time

September 2, 2019

Holy cow, it's already September!

Have you ever stopped for a moment and realised how fast has the time passed?

It feels like yesterday you were 18 years old. Doesn't it?

You just realise that when you have a second to breathe or when it's your birthday. In my case soon to be 34 years old.

Time is interesting.

We all have 24h in a day. There's no exception. It's neutral.

And yet, everyone deals with time in a different way.

That's because there is what we think about time and what we do with time.

What you think about time will determines what you do with your time.

Here is how it works:

You get to work and you think: I don't have time.

You feel pressured or stressed to do all the work on that day.

Because you think you don't have time to do everything with the time you have, you either try to do everything at once, or you get so overwhelmed that you spend more time having coffee breaks and scrolling on facebook than usual or necessary.

The result will be less time to do the work you need to do.

When you think you don't have time, you create LESS time.

That's because you haven't decided what you want to do with your time in a very deliberate way.

Here is a list of common thoughts about time that usually creates you less time:

- I'm busy

- I have so much to do

- There is never enough time

- I can't do everything I need to

- I don't have enough time

But I have news for you. It's possible to create MORE time.

We all want more time, right?

So, HOW?

Be aware of your thoughts about time.

Pay attention to how you feel and what you do about/with time.

Make strong decisions on what to do with your time.

Plan your day ahead of time and schedule in your calendar.

Follow your plan no matter what.

Change your thoughts about time to thoughts that create you more time.

Here are some ideas:

- I have plenty of time

- There is plenty of time

- I have enough time

- I'm capable to decide what to do with my time

Think each of them and notice how your body feels.

Think thoughts that will create you more time on purpose and enjoy the gift to high productivity in your life.
