It's celebration day!
This is the 52th blog post, which means, it's 1 year anniversary! YAY :)
On my previous post I talked about the question that might be keeping you stuck in your weight loss journey: "Why can't I lose weight?"
Today I want to bring up a thought you might be thinking that is also keeping you stuck: "It's impossible to __________." you fill the blank.
That can be something like:
- It's impossible to lose weight
- It's impossible to stop eating sugar and flour
- It's impossible to eat healthy
- It's impossible to lose weight on my 30s, 40s, 50s
- It's impossible to exercise on a regular basis
- It's impossible to plan my food
These thoughts are very sneaky into the brain.
You don't always notice they are there.
That's because you've thought that many times that your brain put it in the auto-pilot place, so it doesn't spend effort and energy to thinking it.
However, every thought create a result.
If the result you have is not what you want, there is a reason why, so let's find out.
I use The Model to bring awareness and change to everything in my life and I want to show you how it works and how you can also use it in your life.
This is how it works using the Model...
Your thoughts create your feelings. Your feelings drive your actions. Your actions create your results.
Here is an example:
Thought: It's impossible to lose weight
Action: Eat whatever you want (after all it's impossible to lose weight). Indulge in confusion and self-pity. Blame your body, people, diets, your metabolism.
Result: No weight loss
The result will prove the thought right, always!
This is an example of an unaware thought (that's no longer unaware, hopefully) might be creating for you.
I call it, unintentional model. The model is always running no matter if you're aware of it or not.
The powerful work here is the awareness of the thought and what's creating it for you.
Once you're aware, then we can create an intentional model to change the result. Like this:
Thought: It's possible to eat healthy today
Action: Look for healthy food options. Plan what you're going to eat. Drink more water.
Result: Eat healthy today
The result will always prove the thought right.
Then all you need to do is to think this thought on purpose.
If you do this every day, it will compound in weight loss.
The secret is to keep doing it even when you don't see instant results.
And that's how we can change your "impossible" weight loss and turn into possible weight loss.
That's how I lost my weight and I'm keeping off.
It's that simple!
